Consciously blended beers hand-crafted in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

For context, at the end of 2013 there were 2,822 breweries in the United States, including 2,768 craft breweries subdivided into 1,237 brewpubs, 1,412 microbreweries and 119 regional craft breweries. In that same year, according to the Beer Institute, the brewing industry employed around 43,000 Americans in brewing and distribution and had a combined economic impact of more than $246 billion. But, what's missing is a microbrewery with a primarily locally active, socially conscious attitude. Our mission is to provide beer-lovers with a way to give charitably to local causes through the beer they drink. We want the community to feel like they are a part of what we are doing, that they are more than just customers. At any given time, more than half of the brews at its two locations are IPAs crafted with the latest hop varieties.

It frequently collaborates with craft heavy-hitters like Modern Times, Civil Society, Untitled Art, and Mikkeller. Wynkoop is Colorado’s First Brewpub, home to tastemakers and rulebreakers, bushwhackers and envelope pushers. For almost three decades we’ve been brewing handcrafted beer in our modest basement brewery underneath Denver’s largest pool hall. Over the Colorado’s Brew years our neighborhood has transformed and Colorado’s craft beer industry has exploded. Over the course of a long weekend in October, more than 40,000 hop heads come to sample beers from nearly 500 breweries. In Summit County, the brewery still maintains its original brewpub in Breckenridge, the eponymous mountain town where the company was founded in 1990.

After being founded in 2010 with an emphasis on strong beer, Epic Brewing Company still continues to proudly produce award winning, small-batch beer. Grab a Big Bad Baptist to relax by the fire, a Los Locos for a sunny day at the beach, or one of our IPA’s for anything in between. Our 22oz bombers are perfect for sharing with a friend or savoring all evening. Ces serves as a community, cultural and resource center, a platform of visibility for Latino performing artists, vendors, artisans and organizations that serve our community. For Latinos, Raíces is a place where to connect with other Latinos and feel at home surrounded by traditional Latin food, music, culture and great beer. For non-Latinos, Raíces is a place where, in addition to having great food, music and beer, people can learn about Latin culture and its richness.

Our brewery search lets you filter and sort the breweries by a number of options, including tour options, merchandising, food and more. At any given time, Knotted Root has more than 30 beers on tap , almost all of which are head-scratchingly unique. Take, for example, its Double IPA titled “Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese,” which is an homage to a famous breakfast sandwich in New Jersey. Or perhaps its Thick Strawberry Goo, which is brewed with more than 400 pounds of strawberry, raspberry, and passion fruit .

For years, it could be said that Westbound and Down was criminally underrated. However, its varied draft list and flavorful, nonfiltered beers drew the attention of the judges at the Great American Beer Festival—in 2019, it was named the best Mid-Sized Brewery. Whether you’re enjoying some après-ski time or soaking in the nearby hot springs, arguably the best place to sip a cold one in Idaho Springs is at Westbound and Down Brewing Company.
